Little Splashes is one of the most popular baby swimming schools in Singapore. It is also Ellysa’s favourite playground now. We brought Ellysa to swim on her 7th month birthday. She started with a trial class using a gift voucher received at her 100-day party. It was a pleasant surprise that Ellysa enjoyed swimming! If you are considering Little Splashes for your baby’s swimming lesson, I hope this article will serve its purpose well.
How much do swimming lessons at Little Splashes cost?
The rates at Little Splashes vary according to the programs you sign up for, the number of lessons and whether weekday or weekend sessions. Since Ellysa is under one year old, she signed up for a baby swimming lessons program. She can choose either a four or twelve-day package.
The rates for the four-day package at Little Splashes would be SGD 196.20 and SGD 235.45 for weekday and weekend lessons, respectively. That works out to SGD 49.05 per lesson for a weekday package and SGD 58.86 for a weekend package.
The twelve-day package for the Little Splasher costs SGD 497.05 for weekday peak hours and SGD 347.95 for weekday non-peak hours. The weekend lessons would set you back by SGD 627.85.
We opted for weekend classes. The main reason is because we believe it is not just the swimming skills that matter, but the activity also serves as family bonding time.
Where are the locations for Little Splashes?
Little Splashes has indoor heated pools at six locations in Singapore. These are the six locations that you may consider.
1. SingPost Centre
2. Balestier
3. Shaw Plaza
4. Siglap
5. King Albert Park
6. Jalan Selaseh
If you are wondering where Jalan Selaseh is, it is near Seletar between Yio Chu Kang and Buangkok MRT stations. I hope I have saved you some time by not searching for it on Google Maps. 🙂Â
How young can a baby start swimming lessons at Little Splashes?
The youngest age group will be 3 to 12 months. They will join the baby swimming programme. We sent Ellysa for her first swimming lesson at Little Splashes at seven months. Based on our experience as first-time parents, Ellysa was a much stronger baby when she crossed the six-month mark. We don’t think Ellysa would enjoy the swimming activities as much if we had started her swimming lesson at three months old.
What is Little Splashes’ baby swimming lesson like?
At Little Splashes, each lesson is for 30 minutes. The official teacher-student ratio is 1 to 5. However, based on the sessions that Ellysa has attended so far, there are always two teachers taking care of 5 students. We are fortunate because the teachers teaching Ellysa are very friendly and engaging. It makes the lessons a lot more enjoyable for Ellysa.
For baby swimming lessons, the primary objective would be to gain confidence in water. Even the most talented babies are unlikely to swim independently at such a young age.
What do we need to prepare for the baby swimming lessons?
In Little Splashes, they do have a diaper policy. There have to be two layers of diapers. The first layer will be disposable swim diapers. For the second layer, it would be reusable swim diapers.
What is the policy for make-up lessons at Little Splashes?
We signed up for the 4-day package. There is one make-up lesson available for this package. However, we needed more than one make-up lesson during the 4-week interval. After more than one make-up lesson, we must submit an appeal.
Conclusion
That is Ellysa’s swimming journey with Little Splashes. Ellysa loves swimming. She is having a great time with Little Splashes. Hey, do consider visiting Little Splashes for a baby-friendly swimming environment!
